two awesome stories

1. mom called me to say she was driving by my building. i looked out the window and spotted her car. she rolled down the window and waved. i could see her little hand from 17 stories up.

2. i ate a bell pepper at lunch today. the whole thing. and i thought of you as i ate it.

'katie would have had a hard time deciding'

that just sums you up so well. on the radio, one of the morning people was talking about how he gave out flashlights instead of candy (for halloween) and how the kids loved them and how they were a big hit. and then one of the other guys decided to do a test, giving kids a choice. i commented that i am pretty sure i would have taken the candy and mom says 'katie would have had a hard time deciding' i cracked up and said that just sums her up so well.

ad, vm, et al

i am going to get spoiled by this whole tv on dvd thing. no commercials, as many episodes as you can handle in a sitting, it is too much!

i watched 5 vms last night. i was up until 1 am. the last one i saw was when she goes to prison to see the non-killer. he totally freaked me out and i couldn't get to sleep.

i could probably watch the whole season in one sitting if i had enough time. that cannot be healthy.

but i love it!

new resting attire

so, like - mom's birthday.

she needs a new robe because the current one is
1 - old
2 - ripped
3 - hunter green

i would like to emphasis that the main reason for the new robe should be because the old one is HUNTER GREEN.

i need to vent

let me just start out by saying that i like oprah. we tivo it and i check it out every day.

ok, yesterday she had a show about all the children (mainly little girls) who have been abducted and killed by repeat sex offenders. i agree that this is a national problem that should be addressed immediately.

but i have a question for oprah....

if this is something that you feel so strongly about and 'needs to be fixed TODAY' like you mentioned several times, why was this not your season premiere? so far this season you have had jennifer aniston, kelly clarkson, julianne moore, and faith hill on, just to name a few. i just wonder, how many kids were abused while you had anthony hopkins reading from the phone book or during the 20 minute segment on how you picked out your new puppies?

like i said, i like oprah, but she seriously annoyed me yesterday. don't act all noble and righteous about this problem if in your mind it comes after all of your celebrity friends.

should we see serenity before or after we view firefly? i have requested it for x-mas.
